Man Utd News: Zlatan Ibrahimovic to set new record if he plays in the Champions League
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC is back at Manchester United and he has unfinished business.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic signs new deal with Man Utd
The talismanic Swede has won pretty much everything available to him in the game.
League titles in Italy, Spain, Holland and France is no mean feat.
Of course, he is yet to get his hands on the Premier League title after United finished sixth last season.
Ibrahimovic rejoined United on a one-year contract towards the end of the transfer window.
And with United back in the Champions League, we may see the 35-year-old grace the Old Trafford pitch on the big European nights when he returns to fitness in January.
Hopefully he can play in the knockout phase
Should he be fit in time - and should the Red Devils reach the knockout stage of the competition - United will be the seventh club Ibrahimovic has turned out for in the Champions League.
He will surpass Nicolas Anelka and Javier Saviola, who have both played for six clubs.
During his career, Ibrahimovic has netted 48 goals in 119 Champions League games for Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, he has never lifted club football’s biggest prize.

Jose Mourinho is hopeful Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be fit to play in the Champions League
When asked about Ibrahimovic’s chance of playing in the Champions League, Mourinho said: “He will not be ready for the group phase of the Champions League, I don't think there is any chance of that.
"Do we have space in the Champions League list to have him? Yes, we have. So we don't need to leave any player outside of the list.
"But I'm not thinking Zlatan to play any part in the group phase. Hopefully he can play in the knockout phase."
