Chelsea held out until 82 minutes when substitute Michy Batshuayi deflected Christian Eriksen’s free-kick into his own goal with his first touch.
However, Antonio Conte’s men kept pushing and were rewarded when Alonso found a way past Hugo Lloris with just two minutes remaining.
