Manchester City to launch £60m Alexis Sanchez bid and test Arsenal resolve - report
MANCHESTER CITY are set to bid £60million for Alexis Sanchez.
Manchester City want to sign Alexis Sanchez
Manchester City are keen to sign Sanchez but Arsenal are refusing to sell to a rival.
However, City believe they can still land the Chile international this summer and will test Arsenal’s resolve.
That is according to the Daily Telegraph, who claim Sanchez will be offered a contract worth around £400,000 a week to quit the Emirates.
Sanchez has just 11 months left on his current Gunners deal and any hope of him signing fresh terms appear to have ended.
Arsene Wenger insists he won’t sell his star man at any price - although City’s Pep Guardiola believes his counterpart will be tempted by the fresh bid.
City have already spent over £200m on new players this summer - mainly in defence - as Guardiola seeks trophies.
The Telegraph claim City have a free run to sign Sanchez because Paris Saint-Germain have dropped their interest following the £200m arrival of Neymar.

Martin Keown thinks Ozil and Sanchez will leave Arsenal
Sanchez, 28, missed Arsenal’s season opener against Leicester on Friday due to injury.
He is also set to sit out of Saturday’s trip to Stoke.
Chelsea are also linked to the player but the report claims the Blues are far behind City in the chase to capture Sanchez’s signature.
