Wayne Rooney to Everton: Manchester United striker meets Toffees fans ahead of transfer
WAYNE ROONEY arrived at Everton’s training ground yesterday afternoon ahead of his transfer from Manchester United - and then posed with excited Toffees fans for photos.

Rooney is expected to rejoin his former club Everton after dropping out of United manager Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans.
It is thought the England striker will take a pay cut to return to his boyhood side.
And he was filmed driving his car into Everton’s training ground at around 4.30pm today.
Rooney stayed at the training complex for around two hours before leaving.
And he stopped to sign autographs with excited fans.
Rooney’s return to Everton comes as United get ready to sign Romelu Lukaku from the Toffees.
Lukaku is currently in the USA and will undergo a medical before signing a deal at United.
Everton are set to earn £75million from the Lukaku deal.
Rooney currently earns £300,000 a week at United and manager Jose Mourinho is keen to get him off the wage bill.
Reports that he could secure a lucrative move to China were swiftly dampened, with Everton always the clear favourites to sign their former academy product.

Rooney broke onto the scene at Everton back in 2002 when he scored against Arsenal at Goodison Park.
He bagged a hat-trick on his United debut after securing a move to the Old Trafford club two years later.
Rooney has previously been booed by the Toffees faithful when playing for United at Goodison.

But he has also since represented the club in charity matches.
The 31-year-old has won five Premier League titles, the FA Cup, three League Cups and two Champions League medals while at United.
He is the second forward to leave United this summer following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s release.
