Manchester United on verge of signing Aliou Badara Traore on three-year deal - report
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly closing in on the signing of Aliou Badara Traore.
16-year-old Aliou Badara Traore’s most impressive goals
Traore, 16, was playing for Paris Saint-Germain’s academy last season but opted to leave them for French amateur side Sarcelles.
The midfielder, who has been likened to Paul Pogba, had a trial at United in February and scored in an Under-17 game against Burnley.
He has also captained the France national side at Under-17 level and was also apparently being scouted by Manchester City and Juventus.
But French newspaper L’Equipe claim Manchester United have won the race to sign the free agent.
Manchester United have agreed to sign Aliou Badara Traore on a three-year deal
It is said he has agreed terms at United and will sign a three-year contract.
He will become the Premier League giants’ second signing after Victor Lindelof agreed to join the club from Benfica earlier this month.
The Sweden international penned a four-year contract in a deal worth £39.6million with an option of a further year.
Mourinho has also apparently set his sights on Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho is closing in on the signing of Aliou Badara Traore
The Portuguese boss is keen to sign Morata as he wants to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
However, Real are playing hardball over his transfer fee despite United being reluctant about paying anymore than £60m for his services.
A move for Perisic could also be on the cards with the Red Devils confident of getting a £26m deal over the line.
The Croatia international is already preparing for life in the Premier League next season and is a huge admirer of Mourinho.
