MANCHESTER CITY are inching closer to a £40million deal for Tottenham star Kyle Walker, according to reports.
Kyle Walker appears in high spirits on Spurs tour
The 27-year-old was underused by Mauricio Pochettino towards the end of last season and wasn’t trusted for the big games.
A summer move has been on the cards and Manchester City have been keeping a close eye on his situation.
And the Daily Star report Pep Guardiola and City are increasingly confident of striking a £40million deal.
It is said Guardiola wants the right-back at the Etihad after England face Scotland and France in their forthcoming international matches.

Talks have been ongoing between the two clubs, and it is suggested Walker will be handed a big contract worth £100,000-a-week which is double what he currently earns.
The report also suggests Guardiola doesn’t want to wait until when City face Spurs during their pre-season tour of the States to clinch a deal.
Guardiola has made it a priority to sign a right-back following Pablo Zabaleta’s departure.
Among his other targets include Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk and Monaco star Benjamin Mendy.
