West Ham clear favourites to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho
Iheanacho has struggled for game time under Pep Guardiola this season, starting just one game for Manchester City since the turn of the year.
Reports surfaced yesterday that West Ham have contacted City about a potential deal for the Nigeria international this summer.
And bookmakers Betfair have responded by pricing the Hammers as 3/10 favourites to sign the 20-year-old striker, who City value at £20million.
Premier League rivals Everton trail West Ham in the market at odds of 9/1, while a City stay can be found at 14/1.
Kelechi Iheanacho has fallen out of favour under Pep Guardiola
Iheanacho has mostly played second fiddle to City hitman Sergio Aguero since making his senior debut for the club in 2015.
And he is not thought to be in Guardiola's long-term plans at the Etihad following Gabriel Jesus' £27m arrival in January, which saw him move further down the pecking order.
But Iheanacho recently dismissed any talk of an impending exit, saying: "I'm not very aware of that.
Slaven Bilic desperate to improve firepower at West Ham next season
"I just keep working with the team and I'm still at Manchester City so I'll meet up with the boys and kick off the season with Manchester City.
"I'm happy to stay at Manchester City and keep fighting to help them achieve what they want to achieve. Manchester City is a big team and we need to go far as a squad, so we need everybody."
West Ham have also been linked with Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi as Slaven Bilic looks to add more firepower to his squad for next season.
