Chelsea’s FA Cup final against Arsenal is set up perfectly for Cesc Fabregas - Pat Nevin
CHELSEA’S FA Cup final against Arsenal could be the perfect opportunity for Cesc Fabregas to wreak havoc.
Cesc Fabregas has been a regular starter as of late
Those are the thoughts of Pat Nevin.
Chelsea could seal the double in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge if they overcome Arsenal a week on Saturday (5.30pm).
Fabregas has been in fine form of late after breaking into Antonio Conte’s starting XI.
The size of the pitch at Wembley would suit Cesc’s passing
The Italian tactician will have some big calls to make with regards to team selection.
And former Blues midfielder Nevin thinks the Wembley showpiece could be the perfect stage for Fabregas to stamp his authority.
“The gaffer will make those calls but then what about the Pedro or Willian choice?,” Nevin told the club’s official website.

“That is a tough one though it pales when you consider how much time will be spent considering the relative merits of starting with Nemanja Matic or Cesc [Fabregas].
“Arsenal’s midfield wouldn’t fancy winning against Kante and Matic in a battle, but it seems set up for Cesc considering the form he is in and that it is against his old club.
“The size of the pitch at Wembley would suit Cesc’s passing, but might it be better to hold him in reserve for the second half to exploit tiring opponents?”
