Who is Scott McTominay?
Manchester United first noticed McTominay’s potential when he was five years old. Now 20, the attacking midfielder has greatly impressed in Nicky Butt’s academy squad and gets his chance under manager Jose Mourinho today.
McTominay signed professional terms with United back in July 2013. He is known for his physical work-rate and willingness to go hard into tackles.

At 6ft 4in, McTominay comes in as Marouane Fellaini starts his suspension after being red carded in the Manchester derby on Thursday.
McTominay spent the 2014/15 reserve campaign battling injuries linked to growth and development.
Since his return he has also played as a centre-forward and scored his first goal for the United reserves in a win over Blackpool last season.
McTominay and Marcus Rashford both came through the United academy and shared the No.10 role in the reserves.

However, former United academy coach Warren Joyce suggested he could one-day become a box-to-box midfielder.
Joyce, who left Wigan in March, said of McTominay: “He’s a really good footballer.
“Technically sound with good skills and excellent in the keep-ball sessions.”
