Cahill has stood-in as captain for the majority of the season, with John Terry having fallen out of favour under manager Antonio Conte.

And the England international insists he is relishing the challenge of wearing the captain's armband.
Cahill told the club's official website: "I’ve enjoyed it [wearing the captain's armband], I’ve had it for a lot of this season and I’ve enjoyed the added bit of pressure on my shoulders.
"I tried to give it to John (Terry) when he came on but he’s a bit superstitious and I don’t think he wanted it.
"It’s given me another challenge and a bit more responsibility, but everything’s the same."
