ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger says Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain did not play against Leicester as a precaution.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was named as a substitute but did not come on during the 1-0 win at the Emirates.
The 23-year-old produced a man-of-the-match display against Manchester City in the FA Cup last Sunday.
But he was spotted leaving Wembley on crutches.

However ahead of this weekend's north London derby, Wenger confirmed Oxlade-Chamberlain is now fit for selection.
He said: "He will be fit enough to start.
"It was more precautionary that I left him on the bench.
"I didn't want to take a gamble with him."
