The Foxes crashed out of the competition after a 2-1 aggregate loss to Atletico Madrid last night.
Ranieri had led Leicester to the last-16 stage before being sacked after the first leg draw with Sevilla.
But he has no bitterness to his old club and wants them to do well.

"After the goal they had two great chances to score," he said on BT Sport.
"It was pleasing to watch the players do what I teached to them.
"It was important to see if they could play in the same way.

"No(bitterness) I managed a lot of teams.
"I love football and Leicester play good football."
