Koscielny came off at half time of Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Sunday with an Achilles problem.
Arsene Wenger said after the match he would have to wait for an assessment on the centre-back.
Chamberlain and Ramsey have a test today
And the manager confirmed in his press conference today that Koscielny will not face the Hammers.
“We lose Koscielny. For how long? I don’t know,” he said.
“It could be a few weeks, or he could be available against Crystal Palace (on Monday night).
"He has a scan today. I can tell you much more tomorrow.”
Wenger was without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey for the visit of City at the weekend.

But the Arsenal boss confirmed the duo could be back in time to face West Ham at the Emirates.
“Chamberlain and Ramsey have a test today,” he added.
“There is a good chance they are back in the squad.”
Asked about Per Mertesacker and Petr Cech’s chances of playing, Wenger replied: “Per Mertesacker is available to play. He could be in the squad for tomorrow.
“Cech is not available tomorrow. Maybe Monday.”
