Karim Benzema reveals future plans: I'm not at Real Madrid to serve Ronaldo and Bale
KARIM BENZEMA insists he wants to end his career at Real Madrid - but he is not there to serve Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Karim Benzema brilliant goal
Real Madrid striker Benzema has been at the club since 2009 and last summer was linked with a move away.
Arsenal were keen to sign the 29-year-old, as were Pairs Saint-German.
But the Frenchman remained at the Bernabeu and has enjoyed another strong season in Spain, scoring 16 goals.
I am at the service of the team, not Ronaldo or Bale
But reports that he could be sacrificed to make Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale happy in the squad have irked the striker.
And he insists he merits his inclusion in the team, even thought Ronaldo and Bale carry greater attention.
"It would be a dream to finish my career at Real Madrid," Benzema told Christophe Dugarry's RMC show.
"There are no other clubs that light up my future like Madrid.
"I am at the service of the team, not Ronaldo or Bale. I play for the group."

"He does not panic and he calms us."
