Paul Merson: This is what will happen when Tottenham take on Millwall in FA Cup
PAUL MERSON believes Millwall will make things difficult for Tottenham when they meet in the FA Cup quarter-finals later today (2pm).
Paul Merson predicts 3-1 win for Tottenham against Millwall
League One side Millwall go up against Tottenham undefeated in their last 17 games across all competitions.
And Neil Harris’ men, who have conceded just one in their last 10 outings, have already taken down Premier League sides Leicester, Watford and Bournemouth to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.
But former FA Cup winner Merson believes a daunting trip to White Hart Lane will be too much for the Lions.
Neil Harris' Millwall have knocked out three Premier League sides in FA Cup
Millwall will have to deal with former loanee Harry Kane, who has scored eight goals in his last four games - and Merson is predicting a routine 3-1 win for the hosts.
Merson told Sky Sports: “Millwall have been going really well in League One and they have let in just one goal in their last 10 football matches.
Paul Merson can't see Millwall coping with Tottenham leading goalscorer Harry Kane
“That's good going. They'll certainly make it hard for Spurs but Mauricio Pochettino's side have been on fire recently, especially at home.
“[But] Millwall have got to find a way to stop Harry Kane, who has scored eight goals in his last four matches.
“I can't see it happening though, so I'm going for a 3-1 home win.”
