German outlet SportBild reported the north London rivals have been keeping tabs on Philipp ahead of a potential move in the summer.

The former Germany Under-21 international admits he always dreamed of playing for a big club in England, but believes the Premier League has now fallen behind the Bundesliga.
And Philipp, who has scored seven goals and provided three assists this season, insists he would be happy to remain at Freiburg for the rest of his career.
He told Bild: "Naturally every player – including me – has the dream to play in the Champions League one day.

"England was always my goal. I loved the football and the fans.
"But I think now the Bundesliga has overtaken the Premier League technically, and I can also imagine staying in Freiburg forever."
