Garry Monk: This is the real reason I dropped Leeds star Eunan O’Kane against Fulham
GARRY MONK has revealed why he dropped Eunan O’Kane for Leeds' 1-1 draw at Fulham last night.

The 26-year-old has featured 22 times for Leeds this season, but Kalvin Phillips and Liam Bridcutt were favoured in the heart of midfield against Fulham.
The Republic of Ireland international was one of five changes to the starting line-up that faced Birmingham last week.

And when asked about O’Kane, Monk said: “Just decisions that you have to make.
“That’s part of the squad. We’ve been doing it all season. Everyone’s vitally important.
"Eunan’s vitally important to what we’re doing going forward and we know that. Sometimes you just have to make decisions.”

And asked why he made so many changes from the Birmingham win, he added: “Really for freshness, also because I wanted to.
“Also because we have to look at the games and the opposition and see what we think.”
