The 23-year-old left-back made his return against Fulham from a lengthy Achilles injury, which has kept him out since mid-December.
And Monk was pleased with Taylor's display at Craven Cottage, having played the entire 90 minutes.

Leeds took an early lead against Fulham through Tim Ream's own goal but returned to Yorkshire with just a point after Tom Cariney's late equaliser.
The Leeds boss said after the game: “I thought Charlie did well, considering that he’s been out for quite a while.
“It’s alright doing the training but matches are really something different.
“Like I said, he’s naturally fit, he’s followed the programme that we set him.
“I thought he did very well for his first game for quite a while. The team were excellent tonight, all of them.”
