Why Alexis Sanchez is within his rights to be upset at Arsenal - Jermaine Jenas
ALEXIS SANCHEZ’s deteriorating attitude at Arsenal is warranted, according to Jermaine Jenas.
Jermaine Jenas: It's ridiculous to bench Sanchez for biggest game
The player-turned-pundit has defended Alexis Sanchez for expressing his discontent at the situation in north London.
Arsenal’s star forward is reportedly ready to quit Arsenal this summer following another failed Premier League title and Champions League bid.
The ex-Barcelona man is said to have clashed with manager Arsene Wenger and his team-mates recently.
And that resulted in Sanchez being benched for Arsenal’s crucial away trip on Saturday to Liverpool, where they subsequently lost 3-1.

There’s rumours of dressing room unrest, there’s been arguments
But with Wenger’s future also uncertain at the Emirates, ex-Tottenham midfielder Jenas understands the 28-year-old’s stance.
“There’s rumours of dressing room unrest, there’s been arguments,” Jenas said on BBC’s Match of the Day 2.
“Players sign long contracts, and they should look at that and then they are there for that period of time.
“What will happen with Arsene Wenger, it will sort itself out.
Jermaine Jenas has defended Alexis Sanchez for his behaviour at Arsenal
Alexis Sanchez was evidently angry at his team-mates in Arsenal's 5-1 defeat at Bayern Munich
“But if there’s been an argument, he’s well within his rights to be upset about what’s happening with Arsenal this season.
“They brought him on in the second half. It was hardly a show of strength from Arsene Wenger to go ‘you’re not playing anymore’ was it?”
Sanchez was clearly angry when Arsenal slumped to a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich last month.
On his behaviour in the match, Jenas added: “When they say publicly unhappy, he showed a lot of disappointment after the Bayern Munich game, as a lot of the other Arsenal players did, it’s as simple as that.”
