Italian newspaper La Repubblica claimed the 47-year-old is missing his family who are still based in Italy, while he also has a strained relationship with Blues Roman Abramovich.
The report added Inter Milan were planning a move for the Chelsea boss as they begin a summer overhaul of the club.
The Serie A side have parted company with two managers recently - Roberto Mancini and Frank de Boer - and they are hopeful Conte can bring some stability to the club.
