The Manchester United boss has been making regular calls to the Barcelona star inviting him to quit Spain at the end of the season and move to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho has held a long standing interest in signing Neymar and the Red Devils are one of the few clubs in the world who could afford to put such a deal to together.

He has a £180million release clause in his contract which raises to £200million in the summer which would double their current world record fee for Paul Pogba.
But any fee would be a drop in the ocean compared to what United could expect to recoup in worldwide commercial revenue.

Neymar only signed a new long-term contract to remain at the Nou Camp in October but United feel that the time could now be right to try and persuade him to quit.
The tax authorities in both Spain and Brazil are looking into his move from Santos in the summer 2013 and the player and his father have been threatened with prison sentences.
It is no coincidence that since court cases have started against several Barca stars started the club’s fortunes on the pitch have taken a turn for the worse.
