Luke Shaw is facing a fight to stay at Manchester United
The 21-year-old, who joined Manchester United for £27million from Southampton, has endured an injury-sodden career so far at Old Trafford.
He suffered a horrific leg break against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League in September 2015, which ruled him out for 11 months, and has struggled to regain his starting place since.
And the Daily Mirror claim he has a fight on his hands to convince Jose Mourinho that he still has what it takes.
Jose Mourinho has doubts over Shaw's mental toughness to cut it at Old Trafford
It is claimed the United boss has questioned the left-back's mental toughness to cut it at a top club, which has cast doubt over the England international's future.
Shaw has been linked with a move to Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp keen to replace the unconvincing Alberto Moreno.
However, Shaw's agent Jonathan Barnett insisted last month he has no intention of leaving the club after angrily rubbishing claims over a summer exit.

He told IBtimes UK: "I am angry with these reports suggesting Luke Shaw will leave Manchester United in the summer."
"Shaw is happy at Manchester United and also, Manchester United are happy with him."
Shaw has made 14 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils this season and is contracted to the club until the summer of 2018.
