ROSS MCCORMACK has admitted his confidence took a hit during his turbulent time at Aston Villa.

The 30-year-old joined Nottingham Forest on loan after being exiled by Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce.
McCormack had only been at Villa for seven months after signing for the club in a £12million deal from Fulham last summer.

McCormack was exiled by Steve Bruce at Aston Villa
But he was shipped out to Forest on deadline day after failing to apologise to Bruce for skipping training.
The Scotland international apparently missed training because 'his gate was stuck', but Bruce grew tired of his excuses and allowed him to seal a move to their Championship rivals.
McCormack is hoping to get back amongst the goals at Nottingham Forest
And McCormack is now determined to get back amongst the goals and set the record straight.
"I have come to a fantastic club to show that I am back and I am ready to go. I want to add to this group and get some good results," McCormack said.
"It came up at the last minute and I am desperate to play for Nottingham Forest. I want to get back among the goals.
"I've got to thank everyone that has brought me here. The boys are bubbly and this is what I need. I've a point to prove to myself."
