Patrick van Aanholt to have medical as Crystal Palace agree £14m deal with Sunderland
PATRICK VAN AANHOLT will have a medical at Crystal Palace after Sunderland accepted a £14million bid for the defender.
Crystal Palace look set to sign Patrick van Aanholt
Palace manager Sam Allardyce has been keen to land his former player at the Stadium of Light and the Eagles have settled on a £14million fee.
That is according to Sky Sports, who claim negotiations between the two clubs have finally led to an agreement.
In a statement, Sunderland chief executive Martin Bain told Sky Sports: “If a player openly states he does not want to play for our club, then it is clear that we have a decision to make.
"In this instance and in regard to this particular player, we have done what we feel is right for Sunderland, which will always be our priority."

Express Sport understands Van Aanholt was Allardyce's number one choice for a new left-back at Selhurst Park, while he also looked at signing Tottenham's Wales international Ben Davies.
Sunderland rejected an initial offer for Dutchman Van Aanholt, with manager David Moyes saying earlier this month: "I want to keep all my good players and build.
"Van Aanholt is a really important player for us.
"He's done very well."
