David Moyes confirms Sunderland have rejected Crystal Palace bid for Van Aanholt
SUNDERLAND have snubbed a bid from Crystal Palace for their defender Patrick van Aanholt.
Sunderland manager David Moyes says the club have rejected Palace's offer for Patrick van Aanholt
Sunderland manager David Moyes confirmed ahead of tomorrow's clash against Stoke (3pm) that Crystal Palace have failed in their bid for Van Aanholt.
"I want to keep all my good players and build," Moyes said.
"Van Aanholt is a really important player for us.
"He's done very well."
Former Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce, now at Palace, is keen to bring in new recruits during the January transfer window.
But Moyes has previously admitted he cannot even sign players on loan unless other squad members leave.
Sunderland have also rejected West Ham's bids for star striker Jermaine Defoe, who is open to a move back to his former club.

Discussing their upcoming fixtures, which includes a game against fellow survival battlers Burnley, Moyes added: "January can be a month which defines a season.
"A couple of wins for us can make it look a lot healthier."
