Arsenal star’s future still in doubt: He hasn’t signed new deal
PER MERTESACKER hasn’t agreed a contract extension with Arsenal, according to reports.
Per Mertesacker has yet to agree a new deal with Arsenal
Claims were made yesterday suggesting the German defender had signed a new one-year deal.
The 32-year-old, it was thought, would see his wages rise to £70,000 a week.
But according to the London Evening Standard, no agreement has been reached for the defender who is out of contract in the summer.

While Mertesacker has yet to play first-team football this term, the report suggests it is unlikely he will be loaned out.
Previously, it was thought he could go out on loan for the rest of the season if he didn’t prove his fitness in time for when the squads have to be registered for the Champions League knockout stages next month.
Arsene Wenger did reveal earlier this month he intended to offer Mertesacker and Santi Cazorla new deals.

He said: “We have an option on both of them and I think we will take it.
"For their qualities as football players firstly but as well for their mental guidance.”
