Ian Wright admits worries over Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez
IAN WRIGHT hopes Alexis Sanchez’s display of anger at being substituted at Swansea yesterday is not a sign that he wants to leave the club.
Wenger confident of agreement for Ozil and Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez was visibly furious after coming off late in the second half of Arsenal’s 4-0 win at the Liberty Stadium.
The forward, who is locked in long-standing contract talks with Arsenal over a new deal, scored the Gunners’ fourth goal in south Wales.
But he was far from happy at being taken off for Danny Welbeck six minutes after his strike.
There are concerns both Sanchez and Ozil could leave Arsenal, with the two stars entering the final 18 months of their contracts.
And former Gunners striker Wright hopes Sanchez’s reaction was nothing more than frustration at not playing the full game.
“You can see his face,” Wright said on Match of the Day.

“He doesn’t want to be taken off. And when you have the contract talks and everything that’s going on, you can see why he’s disappointed.
“As much as they say with Ozil, if Sanchez is not there it’s a massive problem (for Arsenal).
“He wants to continuously play. I hope it’s not something they are using as an excuse to get out of the club.”
