Jurgen Klopp: My verdict on Philippe Coutinho’s return for Liverpool against Southampton
JURGEN KLOPP has revealed his delight at Philippe Coutinho’s return for Liverpool.
Philippe Coutinho's best goals for Liverpool
After an ankle injury that kept him out for the past eight weeks, Coutinho made his comeback for Liverpool last night.
The Brazilian playmaker managed a 30-minute cameo, however it came in a 1-0 defeat away to Southampton in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final tie.
And Klopp has admitted the 24-year-old’s return is the best news.

Good, it was nice - the best news from tonight
“Good, it was nice - the best news from tonight,” Klopp said.
“You could see immediately how important he is, Of course he's not at 100 per cent but it was important for him to have half an hour, that's really important.
“He did well and yeah, [it is] good.”
Nathan Redmond was the difference between the two sides
Liverpool will be hoping to see an improvement in the return leg at Anfield on January 25.
Should they overcome Saints, they will face either Manchester United or Hull in the final.
