The report says the French club are locked in talks with United for the winger who is valued at around £15million.
The Red Devils paid £25m for him in 2015 from PSV Eindhoven but they are reportedly willing to take a £10m hit to get him off their books.
If United can agree terms with Depay he will be the second player to leave the club this month.
Express Sport understands Morgan Schneiderlin has agreed a £22million move to Everton which will be finalised in the next 48 hours.
And Jose Mourinho seemed to confirm the Frenchman was on his way to Goodison Park, claiming he had been informed by Ed Woodward of his imminent departure.
Speaking after the 2-0 EFL Cup win over Hull, Mourinho said: "Schneiderlin is more than probably going to Everton."
