READING ace George Evans has confirmed he did indeed swap shirts with Manchester United star Wayne Rooney this afternoon.

Evans started his career at Manchester City and left the Etihad Stadium to join Reading in 2015.
He featured in today’s FA Cup clash as old rivals Manchester United thumped the Royals 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Rooney got on the scoresheet - equalling Sir Bobby Charlton’s tally of 249 United goals in the process.
At the end of the game Rooney was seen offering his record-breaking shirt to the former City man, who appeared to decline the offer.

Evans was seen shaking his head leaving Rooney’s eyebrows to narrow in confusion.
However, the Reading ace has confirmed he did accept the United striker’s offer in the tunnel after the game.
