Jurgen Klopp has confirmed he will make changes for the game against Plymouth
Liverpool take on Plymouth in the FA Cup on Sunday (1.30pm) at Anfield.
The League Two side are riding high in second place in the division, but Jurgen Klopp is confident his side will be able to do the business.
And the German has confirmed he will be rotating the squad for the game, especially following the busy Christmas period.
Joe Gomez has been sidelined with an Achilles and ACL problem
"Yes, it makes sense [to rotate]," Klopp said.
"I am pretty sure we will see a few fresh legs on the pitch.
“It is not because of the last game, maybe the next game in this case. I’m pretty sure we will see fresh legs.
"Look at our squad. Pretty much all of them not involved in the last few games are pretty young.”
Joe Gomez is in a good way.Playing for us is logical next step
And Klopp has suggested the game against Plymouth could signal a return for left-back Joe Gomez who has been sidelined long-term with an Achilles and Anterior Cruciate injury.
"Joe is in a good way. Really good in training. Playing for us is logical next step," Klopp added.
"It wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he's in the line up. It's next step for him. Long way to go."
