The Toffees are set to return to Manchester United with an improved bid for Morgan Schneiderlin after their opening offer of £19million was turned down.
They are also considering an offer for Schneiderlin’s United team-mate Memphis Depay.

But should they miss out on their first-choice targets Koeman has made it clear the club do not have an exhaustive list of alternatives.
“We know what we want, we know the players we want and it is up to the board to make the deal,” he said. “If finally we get the players [we want] it is because it is really important for the team. But if not then we don’t sign other players because that is not what I want.”
Everton's first bid for Morgan Schneiderlin was knocked back
Everton confirmed yesterday they had secured teenager Ademola Lookman from Charlton on a four-and-a-half year deal for an initial fee of £7.5m.
Koeman has been dealt a blow with another of his young talents with Dominic Calvert-Lewin ruled out for up to eight weeks with an ankle injury sustained early in his full league debut last Sunday.
