Confirmed: Manchester United announce January departure
MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has joined Aston Villa on loan.

Johnstone, 23, will spend the rest of the campaign at Aston Villa after only featuring for Manchester United's Under-23s this season.
A Reds Devils statement read: "Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has joined Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season."

United manager Jose Mourinho recently admitted Johnstone would be the only player to leave Old Trafford on loan during the January window.
And the former England Under-20 international, who was behind David De Gea and Sergio Romero in Mourinho's pecking order, is looking forward to working under Steve Bruce.
He told Villa's official website: “I’m really pleased to have joined Aston Villa - it’s a massive club.
