ANTONIO CONTE has revealed Chelsea have been planning for Wednesday's clash with Tottenham long before the Christmas football calendar began.
Antonio Conte: We face a tough game against Tottenham
Chelsea, like all Premier League teams, have had a gruelling schedule of fixtures over the festive period, playing on Boxing Day and New Year's Eve.
The Blues now face London rivals Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday (8pm) - their third game in eight days.
And with such little time to prepare, Antonio Conte has revealed his side will have to call upon 'work from the past' if they are to beat Spurs.

"Tottenham is another challenge, another type of football to face," Conte said.
"They like to play from the back, they like to put a lot of pressure on when you are in possession.
"We have to prepare very well because this game will be very tough, for us and for them.
"Tottenham are a great team.
"Last season they could have won the title, and this season they have a stronger team. For sure we will see a good game.
"We only have three days to prepare for this game.

"But we also have a lot of work we did in the past and we need that in this moment because we haven’t a lot of time to find a solution for this game."
Chelsea head into the game in sensational form, winning their last 13 Premier League games - one shy of a league record.
But Tottenham are equally dangerous and have won their last four on the bounce, seeing off Watford 4-1 at the weekend.
