Former Liverpool striker makes interesting claim about Sadio Mane
SADIO MANE is not quick but "explosive" according to former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor.
Neil Mellor has described Sadio Mane as 'explosive'
Mane joined Liverpool in the summer for £34million from Southampton with huge expectation given his hefty price-tag.
But the Senegal international has silenced any critics, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in the Premier League already this term.
The 24-year-old has been lauded for his pace which has terrorised defences this season and also saw him score the winner in last week's Merseyside derby at Everton.

However, according to former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor, Mane is not a quick player but an "explosive" one, leaving players for dead over the first five yards.
"It was a moment to savour, and Sadio Mane's goal showed exactly what he's all about," Mellor told the Liverpool Echo.
"In the Premier League, he is one of the most explosive players over five yards.
"People call him quick but I see him more explosive, with his sharpness something that really makes him stand out.

"No one had a clue where that ball would go [against Everton] but he was on his toes, darted towards it and anticipated the rebound.
"All credit to him. He made a big-money move over the summer and has found that consistency you would expect from such an expensive signing."
