Liverpool have been the subject of takeover interest from a Chinese consortium - who reportedly value the club at £1BILLION.
Last night reporter Ian Abrahams, who goes by the twitter handle Broadcast Moose, claimed Liverpool’s takeover could go through by the end of this week.
“Hearing some very interesting news regarding @lfc, hope to have more details shortly,” he wrote.
“Regarding the much talked about Liverpool takeover by a Chinese Consortium.
@BroadcastMoose @LFC Good that your sources will be debunked so soon. Usually it takes a long time!

“My sources are tellling me tonight, the @lfc takeover is expected to be completed before Christmas & possibly by the end of this week.”
And ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Middlesbrough this evening (7.45pm), Reds owner John W Henry dismissed the claims.
“Good that your sources will be debunked so soon. Usually it takes a long time!,” Henry replied.
Broadcast Moose then said: “Well thank you for so swiftly clearing that, only reporting what I had heard - look forward to meeting you at Anfield 1 day.”

Express Sport reported in August that Fenway Sports Group - the parent company that owns Liverpool - would be willing to sell a stake in the club and were preparing to consider approaches from China.
Liverpool have since moved to play down any takeover talk, which had quietened until last night.
American businessman Henry’s tweet dismissing suggestions Liverpool could be taken over was his first action on the social media site for a week.
Henry has not been shy of posting on Twitter before, responding to Arsenal’s infamous £40,000,001 bid for Luis Suarez back in 2013 with the cutting message: “What do you think they're smoking over there at Emirates?"
