AJAX manager Peter Bosz has revealed why Bertrand Traore has returned to parent club Chelsea.
Bertrand Traore is back at Chelsea with injury
The 21-year-old striker joined Ajax on loan in the summer on a season-long loan but is now back at Chelsea's Cobham training ground.
But Bosz insists Traore has only temporarily returned to England due to a clause in his loan deal.
Bertrand Traore has scored five goals for Ajax this season
Chelsea require any player out on loan to return if they pick up an injury to be checked over by their own medical staff in London.
But Bosz expects Traore back in Holland over the weekend.
The Ajax head coach told the club's website: "That's protocol. Chelsea have a requirement with loaning clubs.
Bertrand Traore has missed two Ajax games with a leg injury
"If a player is injured for more than two or three days, they see him. We hope that he can come back today or tomorrow."
The Burkina Faso international, who has missed Ajax's last game with a leg injury, has scored five goals and provided four assists at the Dutch club so far.
