TONY PULIS has lost a high court battle against his former club Crystal Palace and been ordered to pay £3.7million.
Tony Pulis lost his High Court battle against Crystal Palace
Pulis went to the High Court to challenge a decision by a Premier League Mangers' Arbitration Tribunal to pay Crystal Palace damages after his departure in August 2014.
But judge Sir Michael Burton ruled against the West Brom manager after a hearing in London today.
Tony Pulis was paid £2m in bonuses before leaving Palace in August 2014
"I enforce the award and the final award both as to the liquidated damages for £1.5m in respect of the repudiation, and also in respect of the £2.276m damages for deceit plus the interest and costs awarded," said Burton.
Pulis left Selhurst Park prior to the start of the 2014/15 campaign just after being paid £1m as a bonus for keeping the club up the previous season.
With tax and National Insurance added onto the payment, Palace's total outlay added up to £2m.
