Jose Mourinho: 'we have players with problems'
Jose Mourinho splashed the cash in the summer, bringing four players to Manchester United for a combined £145million.
The club set a transfer world record by signing Paul Pogba from Juventus for £89m but their fortunes in the Premier League have not improved.
United currently sit in sixth place - nine points behind league leaders Chelsea - and former defender Phil Neville expects Mourinho to act in the January window.

David Alaba is reportedly top of Jose Mourinho's January wish-list
"I think you can tell by the way Jose is speaking that he still thinks there's a lot more to come from this team," Neville told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"I still think they're missing a central defender.
"I think in January there will be two or three players bought by the club.
"It's a big, big rebuilding job. Having watched the games against Stoke, Burnley and against Arsenal at the weekend, United could have won all three of those games.
"So they're not as far away as people are making out. They need to start winning games and go on a run."
The Mirror claimed this week Bayern Munich defender David Alaba is top of Mourinho's January wish-list.
Virgil van Dijk is said to be a £30million target for Manchester United
United scouts reportedly watched the 24-year-old in action for Austria during the international break.
The report goes on to say Alaba's international team-mate Aleksandar Dragovic is also said to be on the Red Devils' radar.
And Southampton centre-half Virgil van Dijk is another on Mourinho's shortlist and will reportedly command a fee in the region of £30m.
