TIMOTHY FOSU-MENSAH has revealed Michael Carrick is his biggest influence at Manchester United.

Fosu-Mensah burst onto the scene for Manchester United last season under former boss Louis van Gaal.
The right-back, who can also play cross the back and in a holding midfield role, made 12 senior appearances for United last term.
This season he has continued to kick on under Jose Mourinho, making a further four appearances in all competitions.

And Fosu-Mensah has claimed it's thanks in part to his United mentor Carrick who helps him out "with the little things".
"It's great to work with all the players here, especially the experienced ones," Fosu-Mensah said.
"You train with them every day so you can see what they’re doing and talk to them.
"The older players speak with you and help you, especially Michael [Carrick].
"He speaks with me a lot and just gives me help with the little things.
"The team spirit we have here is great."

Carrick is one of United's current longest-serving players having signed from Tottenham in 2006 for £14million.
The 35-year-old has since won five Premier League titles with the Red Devils, one FA Cup and the 2007/08 Champions League.
His contract with United is up in June, having signed a one-year extension last summer.
