But Tottenham equalised not long after the break through a Harry Kane penalty and both sides saw out the 1-1 draw, the third consecutive stalemate between them.

"It was a difficult game, we had good periods in the game, but we didn't manage to finish our chances," Walcott said.
"These games are about working hard for the team, maybe we will look back on it as a good result."

Tottenham were awarded a spot-kick after Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny appeared to take down Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele in the box.
And on the Spurs penalty, Walcott added: "The referee has made a decision, we can't change that now."
