The 47-year-old, who was only appointed last December, was axed following the club’s poor start in the Championship this season.

“Owing to the international break, the First Team squad will return to training on Wednesday.
“A further update regarding the club's managerial situation will be made in due course.”
Hasselbaink had been given a stay of execution by QPR last month after he was filmed as part of a Daily Telegraph investigation alleging corruption in football.
Prior to Hasselbaink’s arrival at Loftus Road, former Tottenham and Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood was mooted as a potential candidate.
QPR, who sit 17th in the Championship table, face Norwich in a fortnight’s time.
