JOSE MOURINHO’s job at Manchester United appears to be under more threat than Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to the bookies.
Manchester United vs Manchester City - League Cup Round of 16 match preview
Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola took charge at the Premier League rivals in the summer and both started life in Manchester impressively.
The pair go head to head tonight (8pm) as Manchester United host Manchester City at Old Trafford looking to book their place in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.
United won their opening four games of the season under Mourinho but have struggled for form since their 2-1 defeat to City at the beginning of September.
The Red Devils are currently seventh in the Premier League after nine games, sitting six points behind league leaders City.
Guardiola won his first 10 matches in charge at the Etihad across all competitions but is now looking to end a run of five games without victory.
Jose Mourinho odds-on to be sacked before Pep Guardiola
And now bookmakers Betway have started offering odds on which of the Manchester managers will lose their job first.
Mourinho is the odds-on favourite at 2/5, with Guardiola priced at 7/4.
But the bookies does not expect either manager to be sacked any time soon as they’re at odds of 20/1 and 100/1 respectively in the next Premier League manager to be sacked market.
David Moyes, whose Sunderland side sit rock bottom of the table after picking up just two points so far, is the 2/5 favourite to lose his job first.

David Moyes favourite Premier League for the sack
A Betway spokesman said: ”The pressure is beginning to build on Manchester's top bosses.
“While Pep Guardiola is on the joint-worst winless run of his career, Jose Mourinho was left red-faced at Stamford Bridge and that defeat has confirmed him as our 2/5 favourite to collect his P45 before Pep.
"The Spaniard can be backed at 7/4 in a market that could be rattled by tonight's result.
"In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t looks like either manager is destined for the exit any time soon, though.
“David Moyes remains odds on in the Premier League sack race, with Jose at 20/1 and Pep at 100/1 safe in behind."
