WEST HAM have confirmed a massive upgrade in security measures for tomorrow’s potentially explosive EFL Cup clash with Chelsea at the London Stadium.

A major police presence is planned outside the stadium, and officers will be on standby to move into the stadium if needed.
Four Police Support Units will be in place, which will mean several hundred officers will be deployed outside the stadium and within the park.

Mounted police, police dogs and the police helicopter will also be available.
Sales of alcohol from bars outside the ground have been banned, and there will be strict segregation of fans after the match. Stewarding inside the ground has also been stepped up.
Fans have been urged to arrive early at the London Stadium for the first Category C game to be played at the stadium since West Ham moved in the summer.
