Leeds plot January loan move for West Ham striker: Monk tried to sign him in the summer
LEEDS are reportedly weighing up a January loan move for Ashley Fletcher.
Ashley Fletcher signed for West Ham in the summer after his contract expired at Manchester United
The 21-year-old was on Leeds' radar in the summer transfer window when his contract at Manchester United expired, but Fletcher opted to join West Ham instead.
But since making his Premier League debut for the Hammers as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth he has played just 151 minutes of first-team football, and has mostly played in the Hammers' Under-23 side.
He scored nine goals in all competitions for the Tykes and scored two crucial goals in the play-off finals.
Fletcher also guided Barnsley to the Football League Trophy with his goal helping the Tykes to a 3-2 win over Oxford at Wembley.
