Bookies update: Odds revealed for Arsenal to sign Premier League pair in January
ARSENAL could make a double move for Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez and Burnley defender Michael Keane, according to the bookies.
Riyad Mahrez - 5 things you need to know
Mahrez, last season's PFA Player of the Year, yesterday confirmed that Arsenal made an offer for his services during the summer.
The Algeria international instead put pen to paper on a bumper new contract in August, keeping him at the King Power Stadium until 2020.
But bookmakers Ladbrokes believe Arsenal could renew their interest in January and have priced the Gunners at 4/1 to get land the 25-year-old when the transfer window reopens.
While Burnley centre-half Keane, who attracted the attention of Chelsea and Leicester during the summer, is also said to be on Arsene Wenger's wish list.
The former Manchester United youngster, who earned his first England call-up this month, is at 6/1 to complete an Emirates switch during the winter window.
Arsenal want Riyad Mahrez and Michael Keane in January
Ladbrokes have also offered odds on Arsenal completing a double swoop for both Mahrez and Keane before the end of next summer, which can be found at 16/1.
A spokesman for the bookmakers said: “Wenger is quickly shaking off his ‘cautious’ tag in the transfer market, and snapping up Mahrez and Keane in January would leave Gooners in a winter wonderland.”
