Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveals all on Roberto Firmino's injury before Chelsea clash
JURGEN KLOPP has revealed there is not a lot wrong with Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino despite the forward missing tonight’s clash with Chelsea.
Roberto Firmino has a minor groin strain
The Brazilian missed tonight’s match with a minor groin strain and was replaced in the starting XI by Philippe Coutinho.
Firmino was left out of the matchday squad entirely, with fans worrying he could be set for a period on the sidelines.
However, Klopp insists the forward is fine but he doesn’t want to take a risk on his fitness.
"There's really not a lot wrong with him but no-one could give me a guarantee that if he tried today it wouldn't get worse,” Klopp told Sky Sports.
“It is a little issue with the muscle.
“I had to make a decision and I'm taking no risks at this early stage of the season.”
