Arsene Wenger revealed this week negotiations have started with Sanchez and team-mate Mesut Ozil over new contracts.
"Ozil and Sanchez, we will start to talk for their extensions," he said on Tuesday.
Both players are entering the final two years of their current deals and Wenger is keen to tie them down.
The Gunners are reportedly confident Ozil will pen a new deal following the arrival of fellow Germany international Shkodran Mustafi.
However, the Daily Mirror claim Sanchez's future is much more uncertain due to the Chilean's wage and release clause demands.
It is said the 27-year-old is looking for a hefty increase on his 130,000-a-week earnings.

But the inclusion of a release clause could prove a sticking point and signals Sanchez's intent to leave the Emirates.
The winger was used to winning at former club Barcelona, lifting the La Liga title and Copa de Rey during his time at the Nou Camp.
However, his honours with the Gunners have so far been limited to just one FA Cup and two Community Shields.
