Former Chelsea player on trial with Sunderland: Nottingham Forest also interested
MARCO AMELIA is reportedly on trial with Sunderland.
Former Chelsea keeper Marco Amelia is training with Sunderland
The 34-year-old is a free agent after he was released by Chelsea this summer.
Amelia was brought in as cover for Thibuat Courtois and Asmir Begovic by former Blues boss Jose Mourinho in October last year.
It is claimed the former AC Milan goalkeeper is keen on staying in England with Nottingham Forest apparently making an approach.
However, Black Cats boss David Moyes has invited the Italian to train with his squad in the hope he can impress him enough to earn a contract, according to the Mail Online.

Moyes is desperate to bolster his goalkeeping ranks following an injury to first-choice stopper Vito Mannone, who has been ruled out for three months after tearing his elbow ligaments in training.
This leaves Moyes with just one recognised shot-stopper in Jordan Pickford.
Moyes failed in an attempt to sign Boavista captain Mika on deadline day and also passed up the opportunity to sign Joe Hart on loan from Manchester City.
