The France midfielder became the most expensive player in football this summer when United spent £89million to bring him back to Old Trafford.
"The market has been overheated,” Khedira told German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.
"But if the money is there, as a club I would invest in Pogba and spent a lot of money, especially since cheaper options [as good as him] don’t exist.
"He brings power and gives something back. He is a player who makes the difference."

Prior to Pogba's arrival, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted he wouldn't have spent so much on Pogba.
While Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "It is completely crazy if you compare it to normal life.
"That is for sure. But we live in a world where every activity that is worldwide makes a lot of money."
